The Forum Pages of Places provide an opportunity for organizations that are compatible with the general mission of the journal to reach its audience, while publishing material that is essential to their own purposes. These special pages are a venue for in-depth discussion of events, projects and programs that are of specific interest to Places and its readers and to the membership of the organizations sponsoring the pages.
The Forum pages are a special section at the rear of the journal that can be available to Forum Partners for publication of their own material, which are then distributed to its readership and in bookstores. Organizations interested in becoming Forum Partners should Places editors. Organizations will be invited by the editors to become Forum Partners after consideration. Recent Forum Partners include the AIA Committee on Design, the Charles Moore Foundation for the Study of Place, American Planning Association Urban Design and Preservation Division, U.S. General Services Administration Center for Urban Development, the Project for Public Places, the Berkeley Prize, Public Architecture, and the Trust for Public Land.
