Design History Foundation Board

The Design History Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, governed by a board of directors who represent a range of collaborating academic institutions and professional organizations as well as design firms and businesses. The Design History Foundation, Inc., publishes the journal Places: Forum of Design for the Public Realm three times per year. The journal is intended to promote awareness and discussion among academic and professional audiences as well as the general public about the ways that buildings, landscapes, regulations, and patterns of use affect our daily lives. In addition to creating a forum for new ideas in these areas, the Design History Foundation, Inc., has established archives for items relevant to the history of architecture, urban design, environmental planning, the social sciences, public art, industrial design, graphic design, and the fine arts.
