Places is sponsored by six partner schools including the University of California Berkeley, Pratt Institute, MIT, the University of Miami, the University of Miami, Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Maryland. These schools provide support and guidance for the journal. In addition, individual contributors, advertisers and forum participants help support Places. The Forum pages are a unique section of the journal Places, Forum of Design for the Public Realm. To further its mission as an educational forum, the Design History Foundation enters agreements with professional groups, conference organizers, public agencies and educational organizations to collaborate on specialized publishing projects. These articles provide Places readers with special insight into a range of environmental research programs, design projects and conference debates sponsored by range of organizations.
